My strategy consults the overuse of Ultima. Every spell caster in my party expect Strago deals 9999 damage to every enemy on the field. Paired withe Gem Box Celes and Terra deal 39996 damage. The withe, black and blue die very soon, sop there’s only Gestahl and HP orb left. Gestahl was the most dangerous of them since he could cast Trine, disabling magic use for a while. But it wears off after some time, and Celes could revive and heal everyone. Strangely enough, Gestahl dies before I could kill the HP orb and since the HP orb only attack with HP drain, I could easily win this battle.

As far as I remember, one of orb casts a spell which blocks magic.
Looks like red orb's alarm went off late. I hate when I'm late to work because of stuff like that.
How do you fight him with a all out asault
would be interesting to see someone beat this with battle speed set to 1, and atb set to active (if it isn't already, but it's off by default. I know this would be a tough boss but I always play all my ff's with battle speed 1 and atb on, keeps you on your toes and feels more like quick thinking and reaction have more to do with your strat.

I haven't tried any other strategies, but I might consider using the certain relic you was speaking earlier. Anyway, thanks for comment.
