Hackers in FFXIV's PVP: The Truth

No joke my first game playing as a Bard and somehow my game Audio cuts out midgame, the funny part is that didn't save them from getting Smashed harder than my dreams by the Dragoon on my team as I roleplayed a Deaf Archer.

I though I was losing my mind… like how fast they were putting up their shields and fast snipes with MCH.

No dudes. SE they just do nothing, and let the pvp die. Again. Like exactly what happen to Feasts and Frontline. Oh btw, the cheaters is on Frontline too. In the feasts for many years was hackers and SE do nothing. I am wrong?

I think when streamers so publicly are using these mods/plugins it becomes a bigger problem, because SE gets more attention drawn towards it. Just use them quietly like everyone else or we'll all be punished. At this rate it's looking like an anti-cheat might happen :///

Cheaters cheat not because they can't do it, but rather to do it "faster" many times great players who don't need them, will use them because why play 300 matches when you can finish in 80. This is not endorsing or defending by any means, but rather an explanation

this sounds more like an “I just lost multiple games in a row so it must be these dang cheaters” kinda video rather than raising any kind of awareness considering how hard you’re trying to get under the skin of people that do these things. they don’t care, why would they care. some people are dickheads lol

I think some people just don't have a normal recompense system in their brain, must tilt the very first moment someone outplays them on pvp and can't bring themselves to do it again without the cheats

I haven't played the game in years, but I know the program you are talking about. And unless there were some massive changes to pvp, a good coordinated team would wipe the floor with a team of bots. I seen the parses (in pve) of a legit player against this specific author's script and the bot would not even be close. I might hop back in to try it again but alot of the community is known to be quite toxic ,that's why I left, I would not be surprised if this was the case of again. That program you refer to is just a time saver and it's never been more efficient than a real player. Just look at the most efficient and accomplished players and you can see they are not botting.

I've been getting one shot by the hackers it is getting worse, even in casual my guess these little pricks are doing it to cheese/rush getting the pvp mount for the event going on, and my solution sue the shit out of the maker

Something to note: Getting to Crystal below 100 wins alone is not an indicator of cheating. There are people who are legitimately that good. However, it is very obvious when someone is cheating.

I think that modding a game isn't necessarily bad. For instance there are mods out there they change the appearance of the clothing, the hair, skin color etc. There are also mods to allow you to pose your character. I think those kinds of mods, or mods that show you the damage that you are doing so you can improve your game play are fine, and many games allow that. Mods that alter the way you are able to play, ie mods for pvp, or botting for housing or anything like that… not cool.

There is an easy solution to this. Don't give cheaters any incentive to cheat. Don't put up rank rewards or glamour items that can only be obtained by grinding ranks. This is probably the only reason why cheaters exists in PVP. I really doubt anyone is using any of these cheats just for the status glory of saying "I'm crystal rank". I could be wrong I guess, but I could totally see someone cheating just for rewards.

I enjoy PVP emenslly but it's hard to enjoy when people are steamrolling you and you are just baffled how they are making those moves like guarding before my Stun hit, Chain stun from the whole team, Marksman spite when I'm halfway across the map. I'm losing not due to my incompetence but from those people that doesn't want to play fair. Made me quit PVP all together even if it was fun.

Just set no crossplay between console and pc then I’ll be fine with playing on console. Otherwise, the pvp is same broken as other competitive games

I think getting rid of LB cancels would fix a lot of the advantage these cheats provide. I went into a game where all 3 of my limit breaks were interrupted by Law of Nature, and we obviously ended up losing.
If LB made you unstoppable, it would go a long way.
The instant swap executes are still hard to deal with, but in a way those make us better by going up against them because we learn we cant drop below a certain HP. But there's no counterplay I can do to not using my limitbreak, other than maybe stunning whoever I believe is cheating.

As a veteran PvP player and someone who had life not allow them to play a bunch In the first week I’ve heavily noticed the impact of these tools in games. They have taken a fun balanced game mode to a place where I have to play flawlessly to win. Killing the hackers isn’t hard if you know how to play. For people with less experience I see it smashing them in the face repeatedly which in turn loses matches for the team not cheating. It’s just pure garbage

Honestly, the ideal solution would be something like overwatch from csgo/dota 2 in terms of detecting cheaters(people report the cheater mid match, the replay of the match is marked, and random players review the match and see if said person is cheating. all of this is done anonymously with player names replaced with "the suspect" and names of heros/random names for their respective games). the problem is…. need server work to get that working.

I honestly fail to see how mods help anyone improve their gameplay in pvp. It’s rather sad back in wow tab target healing as a healer could be a pain and mods like healbot only helped with hover over healing instead of tab target and was more a QoL thing that wasn’t really needed same with boss mods but if you learn the fight and mechanics the mods aren’t needed i find mods a lazyman/woman’s alternative to actually learning how to play. I cringe when I hear FF players rely on mods the game itself is far from being a challenge or hard, pvp needs more focus on the balance and prevention of cheating as it’s a sad time to see so many cheats in the top rankings of server and for what a bragging right they’re good at the detriment of cheating to look good lol

Why are you trying to cover up what's going on. Uh huh. Could you be doing it too. Oh wait you admitted to using illegal programming with the illegal launcher. Hacking has been there since 2.0. A lot of the culprit is MMOMinion which SE has literally done nothing to prevent and it's so sad. It was there before and the bots can indeed raid better and PvP better then people do. It totally ruins the game. Also they can manipulate program even teleport hacks which teleport hacks are the only actual real thing to do. Also doesn't matter if they pay to cheat or not. It should be removed and not happen. Also ya Husbando has a discord showing everything they do. To note this MMOMinion isn't the only hackers doing it but there was a few others. It would be great if MMOMinion got completely shut down and the people running it sued for damaging the game. Some hackers and their hacking isn't as active as they use to be but there are still a few others. Some even do it better then MMOMinion even which is scary to realise given that MMOminion literally hacks about everything in the game. But ya honestly SE should be targeting the people creating the mods to end the situations. If they fall then the community that gets the programs will fall in terms. Also banning and being stricter should be a thing. SE shouldn't be afraid to lose the part of the community that's bringing it down as it will make the community a lot better. Also anti-hack should be implemented in FFXIV like other games do like the Souls series as an example.
